Andrew Hartshorn
Andrew's journey into the Financial Planning industry was inspired by personal experience. After receiving valuable advice at an early age, which proved crucial following a life-changing accident in 2005, Andrew has dedicated over 17 years to providing high-quality financial advice to clients.
Andrew specialises in delivering comprehensive advice on superannuation, retirement planning, cash flow analysis, and investment strategies. His extensive knowledge of the diverse products available in the market ensures he can tailor solutions to meet each client's unique needs. His specialty areas include personal risk insurance, retirement planning, and investment services, helping clients achieve their financial goals with confidence.
Starting his career at Finwest Financial Advice as a self-employed adviser, Andrew was drawn to the company's well-established brand and ethical approach. This alignment of values led to his appointment as a company director in 2013. Andrew holds a Diploma in Financial Planning (DFP) and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (ADFP).He believes that continued education is essential to meeting client needs in an ever-changing economic and legislative environment.
Andrew is a proud member of the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA).
Outside of his professional life, Andrew has travelled extensively in his wheelchair, exploring some of the world's more challenging destinations. He is an avid Rugby fan and enjoys the beach, jet skiing, swimming, and, most importantly, spending time with his wife and two boys.

Brett Crabb
With a unique mix of financial acumen and a passion for client relationships, Brett’s career in financial planning reflects both his analytical expertise and his dedication to client success. He was drawn to the profession by the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives through personal connections. He spent time working in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as his home city of Perth, but continues to work with clients from all across Australia - guiding young professionals, investors, pre-retirees and retirees in building, protecting, and maximising their wealth for a secure future.
Brett takes great pride in leading the Finwest team, where he enjoys fostering both the personal and professional growth of team members. He is dedicated to developing an effective, client-focused team culture that continually enhances the firm’s service quality. Passionate about the financial planning profession, he believes a trusted, values-driven industry is vital for empowering Australians to make sound financial decisions.
As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Brett holds a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning from FINSIA and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ (AICD) Company Directors Course, a Fellow member of FINSIA, and a member of the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA).
Outside of work, Brett enjoys swimming and has participated in several Rottnest Channel Swims, including a solo crossing in 2015. He is an avid traveler and loves spending time with his wife, Paris, and their two children, Charlie and Hannah.

Brhane Mesfin
Brhane joined the Finwest team in 2018 after earning his Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University, with a double major in Economics and Finance. His extensive experience in client services has fueled his passion for helping others. Brhane furthered his expertise by completing a second degree in Financial Planning and is now a trusted Adviser at Finwest.
Brhane's personal experiences have underscored the importance of financial responsibility, inspiring him to promote financial awareness within his community. As an Adviser, Brhane provides expert advice on investments, retirement planning, superannuation, and personal insurance, helping clients achieve their financial goals. Brhane believes building long-term, trusting relationships with his clients is key to truly understanding their goals, needs, and objectives. This approach allows him to provide tailored advice that aligns with each client's unique financial journey.
In addition to his role at Finwest, Brhane actively participates in multiple professional and community development events and teaches at Curtin University. Despite his busy schedule, he always finds time for his family, friends, and cycling.

Brian Heinrich
Brian started his career in financial services in 2012, beginning with risk insurance and progressing to Financial Planning with AMP in 2013. During this time, he has built many close relationships with clients. It was through experiencing their progression from financial uncertainty and anxiety, towards clarity, financial freedom and peace of mind; that Brian started to develop a passion and purpose in Finance.
For Brian, it really comes down to the people, to be able to make this difference and actualise clients’ aspirations and goals is very fulfilling for him. Brian is aware that successful long-term Financial Planning is founded on trust and understands that it is our responsibility to prioritise clients’ interests and to be reliable and very competent in what we do. Brian decided to extend his financial literacy, completing his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of WA (UWA), majoring in Finance and Accounting. After completion, he was invited to teach Investment Analysis and Introduction to Finance at UWA.
Brian is also a member of the FAAA (Financial Advice Association Australia). In addition to his Bachelor of Commerce, he has also completed a Diploma in Financial Planning and holds RG146 certifications. He has an earnest curiosity and inquisitiveness and has an insatiable thirst for knowledge. Naturally he is always looking for ways to add value in his advice, especially in optimising financial efficiency, wealth creation and management, managed investments, superannuation, retirement planning, cash flow analysis, financial protection and estate planning.
Outside of work, Brian likes to keep active, he is a huge basketball fan, likes yoga and going to the gym. He also likes to read all kinds of books, travelling and trying new foods.

Michele Kruger
Michele is a Financial Planner and Chartered Accountant and has worked in the financial services industry since the early 2000s. Prior to joining Finwest, Michele had worked with FortySeven since 2018, and she had worked as an international tax and business adviser for PricewaterhouseCoopers for many years. She has also lectured at university at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Michele’s main interest is people – getting to know them, listening to them, and helping them balance their finances with the rest of their lives in a way that has meaning for them.
Outside of work, Michele loves the time spent with her husband and four children. She enjoys the outdoors and is always game to try something new.

Stacey Chislett
Stacey began her career in the financial services industry after working with CGU Insurance, where she had dedicated eight years. Following this, she took some time to spend with her family before accepting a position as a Client Administrator in a financial planning practice. After six years in this role, her family relocated to Perth for her husband's work, and she joined Finwest as a Senior Client Administrator. Stacey has since progressed to the role of Practice Manager at Finwest, where she is thoroughly enjoying the opportunities this position presents.
Before transitioning to financial services, Stacey worked in the general insurance industry with CGU Insurance. She advanced from administration to Business Development Manager, overseeing the regional North Queensland area around Townsville and Mackay.
In the financial services sector, Stacey has worked her way up from Client Administrator to Practice Manager at Finwest. She is passionate about helping people achieve their goals and empowering them to take control of their future. Stacey loves the continuous learning aspect of her role, which keeps her engaged and motivated.
Outside of work, Stacey enjoys spending time on her property with her family and dogs, making it their forever home. She also loves caravanning to explore Western Australia, as they are new to this side of the country. Additionally, Stacey enjoys trying new restaurants and dining out.

John Holland
After advising clients for over 25 years John has stepped back into a more part time mentoring role at Finwest. He is looking forward to spending more leisure time with his wife Lindsay, travelling, playing more tennis and enjoying the grand children.

Shane Russell
With nearly two decades in the financial services industry, Shane has built a distinguished career focused on high-net-worth clients. He began in 2006 as adviser support, moving to a specialist risk adviser role, and joined CBA's financial planning graduate program in 2007.
Before his financial career, Shane attended university in Queensland and worked as an Ocean Lifeguard in Coffs Harbour, NSW. This background instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and a commitment to helping others.
Shane's career includes extensive experience in financial planning, paraplanning, and boutique practices. He obtained specialist SMSF accreditation in 2016 and launched his contract paraplanning business in 2017,connecting with Finwest the same year. He also achieved the CFP designation in2017.
At Finwest, Shane values the flexibility and independence his role offers, allowing him to live and work in Queensland while maintaining ahigh level of trust with his clients. He is passionate about the industry's shift towards greater professionalism.
Outside of work, Shane enjoys ocean swimming, spending time with his family and dog at the beach, football, and supporting his children's sports activities. He also loves retro video games.

Michayla Butler
Michayla began her journey in the financial services industry in November 2022, initially joining Finwest as a temporary employee. Her exceptional performance quickly earned her a full-time contract, showcasing her dedication and skill.
Before transitioning to financial services, Michayla worked in real estate, focusing on property management and client relations. This experience honed her outstanding client service skills and communication abilities. Additionally, Michayla spent significant time in Thailand working as an English teacher, an experience that taught her many valuable life lessons.
At Finwest, Michayla has grown to be a key team member, excelling in administration and client services. Her attention to detail and genuine passion for delivering impeccable service to Finwest's clients make her an invaluable asset to the team.
Michayla loves the dynamic nature of her position at Finwest, where she enjoys working with a great team and engaging with clients. The ever-changing and interesting environment keeps her motivated and constantly learning new life skills.
Outside of work, Michayla enjoys traveling, staying fit, and spending time at the beach and outdoors. She also cherishes moments with her friends and family.

Shelley Granieri
Shelley began her journey in the financial services industry six years ago with the Forty Seven team. She has since developed a deep passion for the field, learning invaluable lessons from mentors John and Michele, whom she holds in high regard both professionally and personally.
Before transitioning to financial services, Shelley was actively involved in real estate as a property manager. This experience provided her with a solid foundation in client relations and management.
At Finwest, Shelley is known for her versatility and dedication, handling a wide range of tasks. However, her true passion lies in working directly with clients, striving to make their lives easier and happier. She takes pride in being there for both clients and advisers, ensuring their needs are met with utmost care.
Shelley appreciates the welcoming environment at Finwest, where she feels truly valued. Her straightforward approach and commitment to client satisfaction have made her an integral part of the team.
Outside of work, Shelley's family is her world. She enjoys relaxing beach holidays and is an avid supporter of the NBL and AFL, particularly the Fremantle Dockers. Despite her love for routine, she embraces new experiences with enthusiasm.
Shelley is dedicated to her role at Finwest and always aims to provide the best for her clients and advisers. While she prefers to work behind the scenes, her competitive spirit shines through when it comes to winning. Shelley is still finding her footing at Finwest but is confident in her ability to make a significant contribution to the team.

Emma Denham
Emma brings extensive experience and dedication to her role as an Advice Administration Officer at Finwest Wealth Management. With a background in financial services and philanthropy, she excels in supporting clients and enhancing their financial well-being.
From June 2023 to June 2024, Emma was the Philanthropy & Bequests Advisor for the Starlight Children's Foundation, managing relationships with major donors and overseeing the National Bequests portfolio. Prior to this, she supported the WA Sales Team at Colonial First State as a Business Development Associate, contributing to business improvement initiatives and managing complaints.
Emma's earlier roles include Account Manager for Life Insurance at HBF, where she developed and implemented sales and marketing plans, and Business Development Associate at Zurich Financial Services Australia, focusing on attracting new business and managing at-risk relationships.
Outside of work, Emma is passionate about dancing and singing, but her greatest joy comes from spending time with her children and family.

Daylene Rocabo
Daylene embarked on her career in the financial services industry in 2008. Over 13 productive years at Sunlife Philippines, she gained extensive experience and developed a deep understanding of the industry. In2021, she transitioned to FWD Philippines, where she enjoyed two wonderful years, each role providing unique opportunities for growth and learning.
Before transitioning to financial services, Daylene worked as ahigh school teacher in both the public and private sectors. This experience honed her ability to manage diverse groups and adapt to different learning styles, skills that have been invaluable in her current role.
As an advice administrator, Daylene has helped Finwest with tailored financial advice, including investment strategies and retirement planning. Additionally, she has conducted financial education seminars to empower individuals with the knowledge they need to make informed financial decisions.
At Finwest, Daylene appreciates the opportunity to delve deeper into the Australian financial system. The dynamic nature of the financial services industry keeps her constantly learning and growing, which she finds both stimulating and rewarding.
Outside of work, Daylene enjoys watching Netflix and reading life-related books. Spending time with her family is very important to her, andthey often go on weekend trips together. She also enjoys serving at her churchevery Sunday. These activities help her unwind and stay connected with herloved ones while giving back to the community.
Additionally, Daylene is passionate about volunteering and has been involved in financial literacy programs for underprivileged communities. Her goal is to continue making a difference both professionally and personally.
